The 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith in Modern English

How can you know if a church is biblical when there are so many believing different and even opposing things? A church simply stating “we believe the bible” is not definitive enough to be of much help. A confession is a statement of what a church believes to be biblical teaching on a variety of doctrines.

The 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith [READ IT HERE] is an explanation of 32 biblical teachings that we believe to be essential to the Christian faith.  We encourage all who are interested in this church to carefully read the Confession so that you know what we believe and teach.

The Doctrines of Grace [READ IT HERE] statement focuses on the five interrelated teachings concerning salvation. Each of these doctrines are in the 1689 Confession under separate chapters where you may do a bible study on each of them, but the doctrines of grace statement brings these chapters together for a concise understanding of how they work together.

We hope this explanation is helpful and we look forward to meeting you!  -Pastor Paul
